2:28 After doing the sketch/line, she's putting all the flat colors on separate layers 2:40 On like Layer 40 or something she has a layer filled with gray thats probably set to multiply. Right above that layer is a new layer on linear dodge/add, and she's drawing in the light on top, rather than erasing the multiply 3:14 Above that linear dodge/add layer, she has color dodge layers and overlay layers and she's splashing in some more saturated colors within the shadows, around the terminator line 3:59 she's going around on each underlying base layer and cleaning up the edges, kinda painting over them? 5:23 I am so lost lol but I think we're getting into the rendering bits?

I understand now ! To have a good light source and all you have to put a multiply layer then do the light with an add layer and THEN color the edge of the light to make it more "lively" is that it ?

You should use an overlay layer instead of add. You should also use add but overlay is what most artists including yeejchan use

@@NooneimportantSomeoneeyes! Overlay is great to make lighting better and more vibrant.Unless your light source is very bright, add isn't the way to go.

Oh,the coloring of the edge is based off of real life.If you didn't know,when the sunlight hits us,on the edge of the light,there will be an orange glow.Its meant to give it a bit of a more "realistic" touch/detail.Hope that helped!

I like the way the video is recorded, at least it doesn't look laggy. Although the recording of the screen still usually looks better, because the hand does not flicker before your eyes. Hopefully, the following videos will be either with this video recording technique or with less laggy screen recording 😊

You can imagine that the camera tripod is between me and the tableXD I can't see the drawing screen with my head and need to stretch to the side hahaha

wow, you managed to get the colors in the video process precisely right with the actual illustration! Usually with these types of recordings the color temperature of the real life process vid differs dramatically from the actual colors in the piece at the end, but that's not the case here, it's really accurate! I love this type of recording, it looks so satisfying :D The piece turned out amazing (as always), such gorgeous colorful lighting and rendering! ❤

If you mean referencing as in doing a study of one of her works you don’t necessarily need to ask for permission. If you post it, giving credit to the artist and disclosing that it’s a study should be good enough.

if you're an artist, drawing from references a lot and studying the same things creates a visual library that allows you to draw from memory. sorry if that sounds confusing lol but the more times you draw something the easier it becomes
