I was rooting for Ben to come from behind, until he missed the stairs turning into a slide one. That seemed especially memorable to me. Of all the trivial details of Hogwarts that no one really cares about*, the one that is actually important is the thing that prevents boys from sneaking into the girls' dorm. And I would have given him the point for "Astrology Tower". In the wizarding world, astronomy and astrology really are the same thing. It's not like they're studying astrophysics *I got the number of staircases right, but it was just a lucky guess.

One thing I always imagined is that the heads of house sleep in the common room. That they have their own private quarters attached to it just like the multiple sleeping rooms. The Griffondor common room also always felt relatively small. There are over 100 students in Griffondor so for those to live reasonably comfortably the common room needs to be very big.

For question 22 Ben was really close! The trophy room is above Filch's office, which is mentioned in book 2 when Filch's breaks down because Harry brought mud in. Nick got Peeves to break something so Harry could escape

About a year ago my best friend and I attended a Harry Potter event at our library where we entered a trivia contest. I was eliminated about halfway through, but towards the end my best friend was still in the running as the questions got harder and harder. The final question was the same as the thumbnail for this video: "How many staircases does Hogwarts have?" She was the only one who answered correctly and won!

The order of the tables in the movies puts slytherin and gryffindor at opposite ends but the chapter “the sorting hat” places the tables G:far left. R:2nd left S.2nd right and H:far right.
