I know there's someone out there pointing out that in 'Thor', Thor didn't know (or wasn't quite familiar with Earth). But... I think 1. lots of planets have a North; 2. If you know it by Midgard and everyone else is running around calling it Earth, you might be confused for a minute; 3. Loki had been to Earth, not Thor (trying to blend in, so maybe never learned it was called Earth, or maybe just didn't share that info with Thor), so Thor wouldn't necessarily have been "familiar" with where he was sending Loki. 4. A last time Thor might have heard about Midgard would have been from the time they came and rescued Earth from the Frost Giants (or maybe Dark Elves - I haven't had my coffee yet) when humanity started "believing them to be gods".

Some fun Norse Mythology facts (mainly about Loki): Loki was the mother of an eight-legged horse, Sleipnir, who became Odin’s steed. Hela (oftentimes Hel) is the daughter of Loki and Angerboda. She is the half-corpse-half-woman goddess of death and ruler of Niflheim. Her brothers were Fenrir (giant wolf that was chained up) and Jörmungand (the World Serpent). Loki was bound to a rock with the entrails of his son (Nari or Narfi, who was torn up by his brother, Váli, after he (Váli) had been turned into a wolf) as punishment for killing Balder. (Though he didn’t do it himself, it was his trickery that caused it.) Loki’s wife is named Sigyn. When Loki was chained, a snake was placed above him so that venom would drip onto him. Sigyn would collect the venom in a bowl until it was full. When it fills up, she empties the bowl which leads to Loki shaking so violently that it shakes the earth. Loki escaping from his prison will set Ragnarök into motion. Svartalfs (Dark Elves) are actually dwarven (is that a word?) descendants of Freja (as in Freja had children with dwarves) and do not have their own realm. Svartalfheim is a part of Nidavellir, where the dwarves live. Loki bet on his head and even though he lost the bet, his head remained intact. How? To get his head the dwarves would have to take some of his neck to and he didn’t bet on his neck. The reason he bet on his head is because he cut off Sif’s, Thor’s wife’s, hair. He got her a wig and the dwarves that made the wig also made a magic spear and a ship that folds up. Anyways, Loki goes to Sindri and Brokkr (two dwarves) and bets his head that they can’t make anything as good. Brokkr and Sindri end up making a bald w/ golden bristles that runs really fast, a golden ring that makes 8 copies of itself every 9 days, and a hammer that always hits its target and then returns to its owner (Mjölnir). All the other gods are amazed by the 3 objects. So the dwarves go to collect as they have won their bet, but Loki argues that they can’t have any part of his neck. Everyone concerned discusses the matter but they do not come to an agreement as to where the neck stops and the head begins. Loki keeps his head indefinitely but has his mouth stitched shut as punishment for getting out of the bet through tricky world play. Norse mythology is pretty interesting but I haven’t done as much research as I’d like to have done, so please correct me if I got something wrong. Definitely recommend checking it out. Wish Marvel had added some more of the original mythology ‘cause it’s pretty interesting

For the hammer question, the worthiness spell was put there by Odin so it is his definition of worthiness, and Loki was never worthy in his eyes. But I’d like for him to be able to lift it.

I'd give it a pass because according to the comics the Celestials made the asgardians believe they where gods; when in actuality their not. Their god status is based on the belief of others.

Loki saying to Thanos, “you will never be a god” is literally him cursing Thanos. In Norse mythology (and this is according to one of my siblings), Loki is the god of many things, including Mischief, Fire, Jokes?(might have to fact check that one), and… *Luck* He is literally cursing Thanos in that moment, at least that’s what I and my siblings think.
