Disney (October 2018) J: 3,286% B: 2,354% (so Ben actually won that one, in this system) Harry Potter (November 2018) J: 613% B: 639% Marvel (November 2020) J: 557% B: 383% (Again, Ben wins) Also noticed, that over these 3 videos, they consistently had fewer and fewer items, starting at 22 in the first Disney video and in the Marvel one only having 9 Lmk if I missed any other videos from the format

I want to point out a flaw with the new percentage system in that if you always lowball your answer then you are much more likely to win overall. This is because if you guess below the item value then the percentage off can only be between 0-100 while guessing above the percentage can be infinitely large. For the 10 items the the quiz if you guess very low for each of them (even only $10 for all of them) then the maximum score you can possibly get would be 1000%, guaranteeing that you beat J and probably beating Ben too. As an example, say you guess $100 for an item and it’s value comes to be $150. With that you are 33% from the true value and so would get that many points but if the item is instead $50 then your guess is 100% from the true value and you get more points even though both scores are the same difference away in absolute terms. This system essentially reverses the problem with the old system in that now guessing incorrectly on low value items can be significantly more impactful than guessing incorrectly for high value items as you are much more likely to guess several times the answer for a low item resulting in very high scores. A possible way to fix this is to always take the percentage that the lower value is from the higher one. So say if you guess under the real value then you take the percentage as normal but if you guess higher then you take the percentage that the real value is from your guess. That way the amount of points you can get in any round from any value is 100%. Love the content guys, keep it up!

Why do the police chase after Hector and try to stop him before he gets to the bridge? Why care at all? What is the potential harm? J and Ben… ive been wondering if dementors ONLY feed on human emotion, or if they can also feed off of animals/other creatures as well. If you think only humans are susceptible to the dementors, then would that also include centaurs? Or would they be excluded because they aren’t technically full humans? (following that line of thought, would Hagrid ALSO be immune to the dementors because he is half-giant?) Or, would the human part cause them to be susceptible? Thanks!
@jenniferwettervik44953 жыл бұрын
We know that Sirius can escape in dog form because the dementors don’t sense his dog energy, so they don’t seem to feed on animagi and therefor probably not on animals. Hagrid has been to Azkaban and was definitely affected by them. I think centaurs would also be affected, since they have human brains and hearts I would guess they also have human souls, but that’s harder to know for sure.

I think the percentage scoring would be better if it was taken from the over all prices and guesses. For example, if the total of all items were 25,000 then you’ll take the amount they’ve guessed I.e. 32,000 for J and 22,500 for Ben. J would have a total percentage of 128% and Ben would have 70%.
