This is one of a series of videos where I cover concepts relating to digital electronics. In this video I talk about Parity circuits.

How do you write in such a unique way !!! It appears quite weird.. yet interesting. Instead of focussing on the video. I just keep on looking at your way of writing :/

In this Lecture i clear concept of parity check !! But If we check two or more bit error, then what can we do ??

kept wondering how do you write things left side right :P

+Tanmoy TheDeadBoy I think he wrote them as we do but then flipped the video :D

I am a little bit confused... I think you have made a mistake . If the parity select is "LOW" you have a ODD parity circuit and if the parity select is "HIGH" you have a EVEN parity circuit.

Patrick Schmiedt the XOR gate act like NOT gate if one input is ' 1' ...the other i/p is inverted at o/p and acts as short cct if one input is '0' the other deleverd to o/p

What would be a practical application of parity?
@J143210 жыл бұрын
If you want to do a quick and simple version of error checking, you can use parity. Parity won't catch every error though. Consider the case where two bits are flipped. In that situation, the parity would still be correct. In that case, you might want to do a two-dimensional parity check where you create a parity for both rows and columns of bits. This will only miss a reversal of four bits in a square pattern. To really make sure that you don't miss anything, people will often use a cyclical redundancy check, which is a more complex topic than I want to address in a comment.

He probably writes on a piece of glass and mirrors the output using video editor software.... Or he's just a master at writing backwards.
