If POP music sounded this incredible, I would listen to it all the time. Such beautiful transformation!

I still don't have the slightest idea why mainstream pop can't have proper harmonies like these.

this guy seems uniquely talented, not saying pop can't afford to spice it up but this kind of musical savvy is uncommon to say the least. just listened to his newest album and it had me floored

@@ermharriable well how about constant structure major seven harmonies cycled in major thirds across consecutive multi-tonic systems and having the melody also altered to fit the harmony?

@@padraicfanning7055 Seeing how J3PO is using a lot of non-diatonic chords, using a lot of passing chords from the relative major key of E minor, tritone subs and parallel chords you actually need to make sure the acapella *follows* the harmony underneath.

u take all the chords of Em (7 chords) and Emaj (7 diff chords), Em F#dim Gmaj Am7 and so on. then add a 251 progression to each and every step mentioned and ALSO a 251 of each and every step mentioned before. then put important tonics or dom sounds to their place in the song that u like and with taste and training u get as good as this guy. but its mainly gospel harmony and 251 progressions with right hand triads over left hand triads ( Dmaj over Em) or lfet hand tritones over right hand triads like EbADGBD for a F7 sound
