JA1275 would have been built 1956/57 retired by 70/71, an oil burner from new, think it was built at Hillside workshops not certain,

Hi Barry, was actually one of the North British builds, easy to tell by the head light design. Hope you enjoyed video.

On an incline there is no such thing as clean efficient firing, what amount thats required to keep the boiler temperature on 200degs, the locomotive assistant has to also use visuals on stack, which gives what he is using, when on level ground at high speed smoke visual is Grey haze.
