I enjoy your presentation; you make it very useful to new comers. However, one point I have difficulty to agree with; train journey in Germany. I was in Germany for three years 2016-19 while serving with the US Army at Grafenwoehr / Vilseck. Travelled widely in Germany and the rest of Europe. Never did I have an experience of delayed travel…always they were on time to the minute. You spoke about people getting off the train and taking other train; it’s because there are faster trains going to the same destination from the particular location where they get out. Your experience could be different and I do not question it. But to say that German trains are like our trains, always late is an exaggeration. Perhaps by now your experiences in Germany regarding train travel has changed; maybe you need to make another video as a follow up. Dhanya, please understand, the information that you share are 99.9% right and absolutely useful. Continue to do the great job you are doing! God bless you

Nice informative video. Athey no autorikshaws here in Europe, not even uber or similar services at many cities and towns. I live in Belgium past many years, traveled to different parts of Germany by train. I found the quality of German trains good. If they are on time or not, I dont know. My German customers ( at work) also say that their trains are always late! Evideyyum athokke thanne shithi, but most of Belgian trains are on time, as Belgium is a tiny country. True, most of Western Europeans dont do elaborate cooking like us Indians. Once in a while they go out to Eat and drink wines very good and spending good money on it. Most of them work very hard, then travel around, no age bars! Most of people only save money to pay off their housing loans. Nobody spends too much and waste money on weddings. Vayasaayaal, avarkku oru kuzhappavvum illa. They just do all activities like any other young person. Travelling, biking, trekking etc. Most of the old people like to be independent, they hate to be dependent on family members. Pakshe there are people; who live with grandmother or grandfather to take care of them, until the House Physician decides that the old person cannot be independent anymore....has to go to care homes full time, or some hours per day...depending on their family situation.

Very few people here would do that. They ensured that we boarded and only then they boarded with their heavy luggage. While disembarking also, we were pleasantly surprised by another person by his helpful nature.

Few things surprised me in Germany 1. Mobile and internet : Mobile internet is expensive here also calls 2 gb recharge might costs you 4 euros!!!! 2. Public transport : Taxies are not so popular in smaller cities public transport is also not connected well. 3. Super market are closed 9. Small shops are even early . Not seen as bigger cities but smaller towns. If you are visiting smaller towns or countryside only available option to buy some food or groceries would be small shops inside petrol station but more expensive than supermarkets like lidl. 4. Smoking is allowed in public places. 5. Trains running late!!!!! The local trains such as sbahns(most locals types) are late . Others ice etc are really fast and on schedule but costs you more euros than a flight ticket!!!!!

Trains aren't that punctual in Germany. A delay of 10 minutes or more, sometimes 30 minutes, isn't uncommon. Once I was on a train from Berlin to Dusseldorf. It was abruptly stopped two stations before Dusseldorf. I thought there was some accident or technical issues. Fortunately a German couple in my compartment told to me to alight there and catch another train. Another strange thing I noticed at railway stations is that you have to put your ticket in a machine to verify it at the station before getting into the train. If you don't do it you will be treated as a ticketless traveler.

One honest Indian who did not fall for Germany blindly. Generally, Indians abroad, especially in European countries, sing ga ga ga ga about these countries highlighting how disciplined Europeans are and that India has many things to learn from them. But here, you see a simple Indian, Malayali girl at least highlighting what she does not like about Germany. I was also under the impression that German trains are to the fraction of a second on time and that one second delay is unthinkable in Germany. At least that myth is broken. Having said that, all respect to Germany and its people and Indians as well as the other nationals living there. Germany is one of the most welfare countries in the world. Contribution to science by Germany is untouchable. Just think of Albert Einstein and Max Plank, for their Relativity and Quantum Mechanics respectively.

Regards from Berlin :) I am living in Germany / Austria more than 12 years :) Nice video … but may be you can explore German cuisine:) mostly the German eats normal food for the lunch, The bread belongs to dinner :) Please explore some typical German Restaurent :) not the multicultural ones :) Pizza 🍕 for guests??? 🙈🙈🙈🙈 they must be very lazy to cook food . Would be nice if you search little bit more before you post.. Also about train :) not always the same . Munich to Berlin you can cover in 4 hours ( it’s around 560 km :) Vacation : Germans are frequent travelers . Mostly they do two type of vacation . 1. Relaxing 2. Sightseeing Relaxing vacation destinations are mostly Beaches , Hill stations , Cruise 🚢. Sightseeing Are more hectic including cities , touristic attractions etc … they plan everything before they travel. ( travel guiding books ) Have forgotten to talk about punctuality 👏**
