I would imagine he's doing it out of love and respect for his uncle! Who better than a family member? He obviously got their approval too. The Jackson's have always been private. No the dynasty is over bro bro this guy is alright but it’s over this generation of Jackson will be some what famous because of what there dads and aunt did (Jackson 5 mj Janet ) but after this generation the next will not be famous but will prolly receive money from the estate assuming mj estate will stay running good and well because Katherine Jackson (mj mom) gets 40 from the estate or some type of percentage and once she passes away her portion of the estate will go to some one else but it was a good run

This is the thing, he has to make a decision. His overall talent is not a question. His look is spot on for the 2020s. But he has to decide if he wants to do this kind of music or if he wants to work with writers like Babyface, Taylor Swift, Pharrell, and some of the others who, like it or hate it, crank out hit after hit. Maybe Jaafar loves this hard driving bass without a chorus crescendo, and that is fine. This kind of song might make him really happy. I respect that. But it won't get him to the levels his late uncle achieved. If I were his A&R guy, I would push him to do one upbeat pop number and release it as the second single.
