Mostly the people who disliked might would be the ones that have seen the Original movie called "Sankarabharanam" directed by "K. Viswanath" and the that was playing in the scene was one of the sankeerthans of Tyagaraja. After hearing that song, this song seems really underrated. Doordarshan telecasted this movie in 90's when i was 15-16 years. I had nostalgic feelings after watching this movie. After a long time i listening to this song to refresh those days. Alas, no TV channel telecast such Classical movies. All songs are worth listening 100 times. Love & Respect to Girish Karnad, Jayaprada, Laxmi-Pyare and Mishra brother for their contribution to this movie. :)

Yes... those old days when we had only one channel. Loved the movie although least knowledge of classical music. After some time lucky to see the original version in name of Shankerabharnam. GRRRREAT

Good composition by LP in Raag bhupali....sung in pehla peher...i.e dawn time. Lataji nicely sings for a small child. LP's sense of orchestrisation is legendary...60 piece orchestra this was...

Demise of Pandit Rajan Mishra ji🙏 is just an irreparable loss to the classical music of our country. It was so so shocking.
