My sale consultant quoted me the 335 watt x 21 panels black panel. I really wanted the new improved A series 400 watt panels. She said "I have quoted you the best panel for your roof which will generate the most electricity production year over year based on your energy needs. The M Series 400W panels are not available. I did do a mock up on my design tool with the 400 panels and as they are larger, they produced under the system size you are contracted for" Is it because of my roof that she can't fit the A series panels and gave me the X series instead? Please help

If I got solar panels already and want to get a home battery down the road... will I be able to get a tax credit for the home battery?

I've already claimed the tax credit for the panels in the 2021 tax filing.

It depends on if your installer will install a battery on an existing system that they installed. Most installers will require you to add a second system to add the battery. Is there a reason you didn’t include the battery with your initial solar installation? But I don’t believe batteries alone can qualify for the tax credit. I believe it needs to be combined with solar.

I am in the process of getting Sunpower Solar Panels with micro inverters in south San Jose. I went and explained to the sales rep that my electrical needs will increase due to all electric car. This will result in upgrading the electric panel and electric utility service line upgrade. The sales person said they included the service line into the price. The survey engineer confirmed the needs for my home. The sales person said we can cancel the contract if it results in much higher than the initial contract. Can you reach out to me?

Hi Amit, the M series is great for higher wattage panels and seems to be more efficient than the U series. If you can go with M Series, that’s what I would recommend.

Currently in the process on deciding on a solar system, and glad you actually mentioned that the micro inverters are in fact Enphase. Question however on the 13kw battery backup, would the battery maker also happen to be Enphase, under the name of SunPower Sunvault? (Located in So SF)

Hey J W! SunPower makes their own batteries. They are not Enphase batteries.
