1. Narmada is a river older than the Ganges 2. The river is sparkling clean at Gwarighat & Jilharighat 3. Jabalpur has a history of thousands of years 4. There is a temple near Supa tal on Medical College road where they are singing Ramayan since 1967 (अखण्ड रामायण) continuously 5. Rajbhog sweets at Sadar bazar has the best sweets 6. My grandfather was from Jabalpur. I visited Jabalpur in 1983 with my family. I still remember the shortcut we used to take to reach Hanuman Mandir where my Uncle's (my mother's side) shop was in the market. We used to walk from my Uncle's house and walk between the beautiful ancient houses near a big pond to reach his shop. Thanks for this video. It brought a lot of memories back. I remember the gool guppay wala near cinema.

Anubhav ji the cooks can dip their hands into the boiling oil only after dipping their hands in cold water. It is called Leidenfrost effect. The water vapour is a bad condenser of heat and creates a temporary shield around the hand for few microseconds. Note that they dip their hand only few times and that too for few microseconds.

Kya bataya jaaye... i mean everything... its a great feeling being around in the streets of small cities... as if they are identified by their culture... nd no comparison about the warmth recieved frm the food vendors... Everything, be it the chaat... the bhaji vada... the garam ragda puri... or the chikki... all was mouth watering... Mangori wala only slides his hand in oil when he puts fresh batter in oil. Because when we put the batter it decreases the temperature of oil for few minutes to less than half. That's why he didn't put his hand in oil when he was frying samosas which were almost done, because it was very hot then.

@26:45 Anubhav, there is a scientific reason behind this. You'd have noticed him wet his hand before dipping it in the hot oil. The heat from the oil dissipates into the cold layer of water without burning the skin. A second or two longer and it will be blisters galore and a nervous visit to the burns unit. Nothing to do with numbed senses. Cool trick though.... and mouth-watering samosas and pakoras. Always enjoy watching your vlogs. Best wishes from Sydney.
