Fun Fact ; The prototype Luke figure was sculpted holding a bone. The Hasbro suits went with a standard Luke figure so that the figure had more playability, which is logical from a child’s perspective. Imagine having just one Luke figure, and he has to battle the Empire. Armed with a bone.

My younger brother had a bunch of these and I always thought they were pretty neat, especially the crossover aspect you could achieve with the other licenses in the same style (Darth Vader vs Spider-Man, what kid wouldn't love to see it!) - but you're right about Luke's face. He and a couple other characters really had a cabbage patch kids vibe to them... So the droids and helmeted figures always came out better imo

I used to love these kind of figures as a kid, I always collected the marvel ones (because back then I didnt like star wars, but now I do), I always used the boxes as backgrounds or settings and thought it was literally the coolest thing ever that the box was shaped and printed like the current setting the toys were from

I had these as a kid! They were awesome I still have a tie advanced, x wing without the canopy, a snow speeder without a canopy, and the millennium falcon with a full interior. Great memories man

This is my favorite line of ALL Star Wars figures. It took a while, but I really have come to like them, so much so that I mad my own Z95 Headhunter for the line, since we never got one from Hasbro. I should re-visit that vehicle, make a new video over it. Great coverage of Jabba's specific GH figs and sets :)

Great video and great collection. Two years ago I started collecting this line and I really love it, the character design, vehicles, paint work and all the different characters included make this toy line one of my favourites. I also agree with you that the redesign of the line under the playskool brand isn´t quite as good as the original. 👍👍

I have some Star Wars galactic heroes line and also I have the Star Wars galactic heroes from holy special and even Star Wars galactic heroes board game for my opinion I like the hay days more than the modern Star Wars the galactic heroes what we’ve seen now and today. I had jabba’ s palace and it’s a great set and hope that Star Wars galactic heroes would make a video game but one day they will. They done a brilliant job with the back I definitely miss the old days with the playset and the model of the figures and that’s true. That’s why that I like the figures very small not having it in the big set what we’ve seen in the 70’s. That’s true I remember when they brand it to Jedi force but I missed when they were very small. The ga organ gard is definitely the same just like what they’ve used in Star Wars galactic heroes. The original figures stand out to me the most.

I had most of these. An average day would consist of Jabba mildly torturing everyone but himself, slave Leia, and C-3PO. Even Han Solo would be in pain! (In carbonate somehow)

Did you ever check to see if bespin Luke's hand comes completely off? Seems coincidental that only that hand seems to move and for a more cutesy version of star wars, having his hand come off is a bit dark... but it did happen in the movie.

I think it depends on the individual figure, and whether you want them in the package or not. But generally speaking they seem relatively inexpensive. Especially if you just wanted a handful to use as decorations
