@brinag86045 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing
@j965694 ай бұрын
There are lots of reasons. For one thing, their whole culture is counter-culture/rebellious, so making it an Olympic sport commercializes it. Some guys probably think it's awesome that it's recognized as a "normal" sport, and other won't like it. So all the best guys won't necessarily participate. Also the rules of participation and how points are given might seem stifling and will prevent creativity. Getting a gold medal will be a great achievement for some and an embarrassment to everything they stand for to others. My husband is a skateboarder and he hates that it became an Olympic sport. I think the two cultures are similar in that regard.

You’re so right. After watching it 10 x’s I noticed at 1:43 the very subtle move the Jabba on the right made with his hands. It’s the details with them.

This is the first time i have ever seen breakdancing outside of movies and the level of synchronization here is the absolute craziest thing I've ever seen. It all looks like it could be edited but obviously that's just a testament to these guy's and there abilities.

I've been following you since I was a child, I even did a project at school with one of your dances. Thank you for being good at what you do.

I feel like over the past 3/4 years a few of their routines have been really similar and almost looked easy for them and not as impressive (clearly still amazing) but not to what they’ve performed to before. But this was a real reminder to how they are truly unmatched

I agree with u..feel a bit sad but still love them..

mood. glad it wasn't just me...while some of the reused routines hit, some felt out of place imo. guess the new gen's still leveling up, but 1000% agree, even when they're not peak they still top.
@COBRAC0MMANDER2 жыл бұрын
that's what makes them the jabbawockeez. It is their own style. You may say that they reuse most of their moves but it is what it is for artists. use what works for you and your identity. also to be at the top for almost a decade as a *dance* crew, nothing can compare. ahh i agree with you haha.

Got to remember their age too now 19 years later - doubt the bodies can constantly keep up.
@nikocalderon62012 жыл бұрын
Felt that. It's probably since they actually have a full time show at Vegas, it's hard for them to actually dedicate to choreographing whole new sets and topping themselves for events. I think they were able to go off here in this one since it's Bboy centered and recruit more help from not just SuperCr3w but other Bboys too. Gives them cushion for the Jabba members to really go off and highlight their style within the set.

I watched it 10 times and every single time got me in tears of joy. I can pick no fitting words to describe how much guys you impress me. My biggest dream is to be able to know how do you feel while performing this masterpiece. Just perfection, big fan from Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 🫶, living in Austria🇦🇹. Won’t miss a chance to see you live, thus come to Austria.

Still the GOAT dance crew. Followed them since ABDC S1 and to this day they still outshine all dance crews imo. Their moves aren't that generally flashy or highly technical but man the execution is unreal! Those masks still evokes uniformity, synchronicity, and mystery. Saw them a million times now but still awestruck every time. Pure legends and living icons. These new Jabbas are beautiful! They move like the OGs. Them founding members must be really proud. Gee Kendall surely is smiling up there. RIP Gee. *Taps chest, points to heaven*

I love how they when they do parts like 5:13 and on they always try to make the choreo personal and allow everyone to put their touch on it all. Like its structured but not so much that everyone has to do the same thing
