Just changed alternator in my 93 Miata and this video was very helpful! One suggestion is to loosen the bolt in the middle of the intake box and you can separate into two pieces for easy removal

Just finished pulling the alternator out of my little idiot. Thanks for the helpful video! I was cracking up when you were trying to get the air intake junk out of the way and thought for sure I'd be able to do it but ended up having to leave mine stuck in there as well!

Great video, man. Thanks for identifying the socket sizes. I would recommend removing the upper radiator hose. It is likely to be damaged especially if it is older wrangling on at that way.

Hey man, does the bracket that the alternator sits on have any threads? Mine has rusted and im wondering if i can just whack it out

I don’t know why but even with my alternator completely loose I am unable to slip the belt off. I noticed when I move the alternator to the right it still has a little gap in the slide guide but it is already hitting something and can’t go further. Was yours easy to take off and put back on?

Hi where did you purchase the replacement alternator?

Find a shop to rebuild it. It is cheaper and will last as long as a new one
