What would cause the Jabra 2400 II BIZ HSC021 noise cancellation to not work? It's picking up the neighbors barking dog and the TV with the volume in a normal range in the next room? I've watch vids on this channel and others on how well it should work as well as boom and microphone positioning. Both are in the correct position but still tons of background noise! Why? Help?

Hi Robii! There are multiple factors that can impact performance. Make sure this a Jabra product purchased through an authorized Jabra reseller. Unfortunately, there are counterfeits, gray market, used being sold as new, etc via unscrupulous online vendors. Next, download the free Jabra Direct software and ensure your headset’s firmware is updated. Please note this headset does NOT block 100% percent of all background noise. People you are speaking with will hear louder noises like barking dogs but it should be suppressed where your voice is clearer than the background noise. If you are still experiencing issues, contact Jabra support directly. You may have a defective unit. Hello, I have 3 of the headsets, the biz 2300, biz 2400 II and the Engage. Did you notice the difference of speaker performance on these headsets? The speakers of both 2300 and engage 50 are loud and clear and I was able to hear my customers clearly, but with the Biz 2400 II, the quality of the audio speakers are not as loud as the two headsets. It makes me so sad The audio that came through the speakers sounds so muffly from the customer's end and I can barely understand them. Did you notice it? I hope you have a speaker test also not just mics.

Thanks for the review and for the smiling face. Do you know if the controller for 2400II beeps when volume is adjusted or when the mic is muted? I'm frequently using those functions, and I can't stand a beep or voice. Plus, I can't hear the caller when that occurs.

do you need the jabra software in order to trigger the noise cancelling of Jabra 2300? I am currently using the duo USB version but it doesnt seem to have the expected noise cancellation. Wind coming from an electric fan can be heard clearly says my mom when she called me through facebook messenger. We also tried it via Skype and still no noise cancellation dork barking from the house next door can be easily noticed.

Hi The Amazing Jay! It should not need it however, it is optimal to have updated Jabra Direct software, and headset firmware. It's a free download and free updates. www.jabra.com/software-and-services/jabra-direct I did recently learn about a program I have on my new Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 laptop. It's called RealTek Audio Console and by default it enables AI noise reduction in any new headset I attached to my computer. As of last month I have been disabling/turning off AI noise reduction when testing. A setting you have to check across all platforms, is that you have selected the Headset as the output and input audio device. I'm not certain that is possible with Facebook Messenger. These headsets are designed for use with business communications and collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, etc. I'm not certain of their performance with consumer grade platforms. Mic placement is also important. Mic certain mic is 1=2 finger widths from the tip of your mouth. I also strongly recommend contacting Jabra Support directly. Hi, @ranjeanellcoronel1016! The noise canceling microphones are automatically turned on, however, Jabra Direct software and headset firmware updates can improve overall audio quality. A suggestion I make to folks in your scenario (which is not unique - several companies don't allow employees to download device management software), download Jabra Direct on a personal computer/laptop, connect your headset to make updates. I'm curious, what industry are you in? We see these restrictions for company machines in Finance, Banking, Healthcare, Health Insurance and Government.

Thanks for your videos! I just received something that I think is that jabra 2300 it contains the jabra link 230 usb and the headset says: HSC015... No controls on the cable. And I am getting some background noise reduction but it is not that great, am I doing something wrong?

Hi Carlos! The Jabra Biz 2300 will not suppress 100% of background noise. Mic placement is important. Make sure mic is one to two finger width from the tip of your mouth. You can also use noise suppression AI available through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex or other platforms you are using.

@@carlocruz4814 the Jabra Biz 2300 is a solid middle of the road headset for Contact Center agents. It’s a top seller. The premium model would be the Biz 2400 II models. The Evolve2 models are UC headsets designed for office workers who don’t spend 8+ hrs on calls. I like the Evolve2 30 but they are heavier than the Biz 2300 models. The Biz 2300 performs better than using built-in laptop speaker and mic.

I'm working on filming a video from a daycare to test how well multiple headsets perform with actual children yelling, screaming and playing in the background. In the meantime, what platforms/applications are you using? i.e. Zoom, Teams, NICE, Webex, Google Meet, AWS, Genesys, RingCentral, other? The Engage 50 II are higher end headsets. If you're willing to spend that kind of money, you may want to go with a wireless headset. The EPOS Impact 1000 Series have the best microphone I have tested.
