These were some great cards. Normally I'd much rather have an auto than a relic card, but this was also back when memorabilia cards meant they were actually used by the players (even if it was just them trying on a jersey or using it for BP). It's still 100x's better than a manufactured relic in my book. And the fact that they're almost all HoF players...Topps needs to look back at how cards used to be done and start going that route because this set was terrific. New players are fun, but something about HoF players from the various decades makes the hits feel even bigger. Congrats to those who got more than they expected.

Before I suggested this product, I watched a lot of videos and every box I saw gave up two hits. And I saw two cut sigs per case. I know cards # out of 199 or 550 seem like a lot, but there aren't a million parallels of that card like now. You have the base and the /550, that's it. The design is simple and beautiful, imo.

I miss SP and upper deck. I remember buying one of the 2001 legendary cuts and pulling a joe dimaggio cut auto. And yes Steve Garvey does belong in the Hall of Fame

That dimaggio cut auto goes for about 1000 now. That would have been one of the best pulls from any set in 2001, though some other 2001 cards are far more valuable now.

At the very least it will be better protected in a case.All my cards from back in the day got destroyed in floods or thrown away by my dad as a punishment. I miss my early magic the gathering cards and my Joe Montana rookie the most. I could retire if I still had those.

Hi im a new sub that’s looking into getting a box that has some decent autos but I don’t know what boxes to get and where to loos, all my autos are not really good, I think 10 dollors each max

You are almost always financially better off just buying the ones you want as a single. If you want to open boxes for high end autos you either need to spend a lot, or spend a little and be prepared to be disappointed. My opinion is you should find a set you love the look of. Dont obsess over odds or value, just go for what you like a lot.

Not even close. Those relics are going to average around $20 ea. Base cards worth nothing. /550 avg about $5 ea. Definitely a lottery box when it comes to value. You need an auto, and it needs to be one of the realllly big names and be low numbered. And most of the autos are stuff like Juan Marichal. Great names, but common autos that are not worth much.

@@DaveDurango Depends on which product you buy. You can definitely buy boxes that will average a significant % in value, stuff that has more of an evenly spread out value. This particular set only has a couple cards with high values, and they are all very low numbered making it more of a lottery than most. And they are not easy to sell. There is a total of 7 cards in ebays sold section that sold for more than the cost of a box.
