I bought a box of hobby on my way home. It cost me 304 dollars after taxes. I asked the person at the hobby shop if topps was trying to get people to stop buying baseball cards with their high prices. I bought one box and it was the biggest rip off, I should have kept it sealed. I'm very disappointed in myself because I tried to talk myself out of buying a box and I should have listened. I won't buy any hobby boxes for the foreseeable future.

Buying singles usually doesn't excite me and opening boxes has become the equivalent of throwing your money into a fire. My hobby is now down to just watching Jabs rips and feeling sorry for the people who paid for the boxes.

I stopped buying boxes this year. I just get singles once in a while. Done paying ridiculous prices for boxes. I just watch the videos. That’s the closest I get to boxes..lol

I walk into my local card store & I see a 1966 Mantle PSA 4 for under $300. Do I buy a sure thing or do I make the $300 GAMBLE? Over time I can build a awesome vintage collection or do I gamble looking for that never to be found card? What would you do?

I just bought a case of hobby (8 boxes) here in Japan from a reputable dealer in Tokyo. When one converts it to USD I paid $224.43 per box. I am hoping for a signed Jason Giambi ! Lol na I doubt he's on the checklist....😂

10:06 I think people are catching on that there's so many one of one variations of a player in a lot of these sets that the saturation is getting to the point where people are reluctant to pay a lot for a product that is artificially saturated. Some of these players are getting as much as a hundred one of ones and everything's a parallel. Got it takes away the uniqueness of rarity. But that's my opinion and it looks like it's just junk wax there a 2.0 by trying to keep people interested through saturation. They need to bring back rare Chase cards if they really want to get people to over purchased their product. Imagine how much of 2024 tops would be wiped out if they were hunting for a Mickey Mantle rookie card
