I agree and you’re right but it’s the same as gambling you could spend 500 and pull a card way more. I saw a guy who went live on you tube opening basketball cards he spent $450 and pulled $16,000 in cards

I have been saying that card collecting has turned into a lottery, but after thinking about it more, it is worse than a lottery. Although it is a long shot to win the prize in either, the lottery entry price doesn't change and doesn't sell out in 10 seconds. It is sad that it has gone this way, even if I had the $400 at release day, I probably wouldn't have gotten a box.

That booklet was nice, but don't understand why they use sticker autos on a 1/1 booklet where the Beltre was on-card auto. Also the autos on the booklet looked smeared. I always get the autos graded as well as the card, so a perfect auto is important to me.

Man! I can barely afford Topps Chrome let alone the really high end boxes. What happed to my baseball cards when I used to collect back in the late 80's and early 90's?? I just picked up a holiday box on eBay and that was not even cheap. I need to figure out a way to get back into the hobby again but not go broke. I did make some purchases on eBay on already graded cards, but I miss the fun of opening up packs.

Always loved the way Ken Griffey Jr signed. I have a few from the early 2000's. While this one looks good, his earlier sigs are clear, concise and almost identical. A few of these young prima donnas could take a hint. To sign an initial or scribble when they make more money in a year than Mays, Aaron or Mantle made in their career is atrocious. Just a gray swatch though? Surely could have done better.
