The thing about last of the stars is true. New age actors like Kartik, Ranbir, Ranveer are very popular but I don't think they can be put in the same league as Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, SRK, Aamir etc in terms of stardom. Probably the last person to come close to their popularity is Hrithik, no one after him.

Who knows how kartik's Or ranbir's Or rajkumar's stardom will be after say 15 years later. Srk, salman, amir did create a separate audience for themselves. Also, I think people always saw them on a big screen. The superstar vibe comes from vibe of cinema halls too. With the rise of ott, people won't be seeing new actors in cinema like they did before. There won't be dancing, whistling in theatre, which I think, is a big factor of that mega superstar creation. Yes the chances for such stardom returning is less but we never know.

Actually , He was good in sports and other physical activities in school . He got the best sportsman honour from his school . So, he wanted to join the army and took admission into an army school . But his family restricted him to do that . Then he wanted to be a sportsman . But he failed due to his injuries . Then he joined theatres casually as he lived in Delhi and National School of Drama was nearby . But he really learned some great stuffs in acting and became interested in it .After some time , he got the chance to act in a tv series . Earnings from tv was not great at that time in India . But...What he earned from tv is the recognition ! Meanwhile , his mother passed away . After his father's death , they were already in financial issues . And now his mother is also gone . He was in utmost pain at that time by loosing his loved ones . At this time , he got the chance to work in movies . Though he was a confident guy ... still he was not sure about his film career as it is a place of uncertainty . But he decided to shift to Mumbai and act in films for some time to earn some money and to get rid of the trauma of his mother's death . So , he finally came to Mumbai . And the rest is history .

First thing is that you have to see is when he said he is last of the stars, he is true in the sense that people during that time didnt go to the movies to see the stories. People went to see the stars. Nowadays with the amount of content available to everyone no one will be achieve that level of stardom. There are huge stars in the industry now but no global superstar. People use to know of bollywood by SRK. After the end of the era of SRK salman we are again seeing bollywood movies taking a back seat to southern movies because there is no longer a superstar to helm the image of bollywood, like Amitabh, Srk and salman did.

It is really not important for SRK's movies to work. He has created an entire ecosystem around him which includes his production house, one of the best VFX companies in India and companies catering to various aspects of film making. Other than that, he has friends all across Bollywood and therefore, no matter what the Bollywood produces and with whomsoever it produces, SRK, through his huge ecosystem often gets a share of the money through the contribution that he or his companies make. And that is why, he remains the wealthiest actor on the globe. I personally am not a big fan of his acting but I absolutely admire his personality, the simplicity yet the depth of his words, I love his speeches at various national and international forums, I admire his humble nature and his courage to make fun of himself. SRK is loved by many across the world and I can definitely say that I have been one of them for the past 10-15 years and where we stand today, my love and admiration for this great man has only grown over the past years. His father runned a mess in the NSD and he has grown up in the lap of the best theatre artists of India of that time..
