Meghalaya is one of the most beautiful places in India for sure. They missed going to rainbow falls after the root bridge where one can see rainbow all the time. Ofcourse the cleanest village is another beautiful place they missed. Meghalaya has too many beautiful places. @@keerthim462 you are so delusional 🤣🤣🤣 1) south india is literally the richest region (economically) in the entire india while north east is the poorest. 2) dishes like idli dosa etc can be found in any random hotel throughout the india (this does not imply that these two are the only dishes from south india that we know) while many other things like rasam is known to most people. How many such dishes can you find from north east? 3) don't even talk about transport system. Are you trying to put your transport and communication system at par with north east's ? That is the most blatant lie i have seen a person trying to get away with. 4) so many people from south india are famous all over india be it scientists (cv raman or most of the scientists in ISRO like k sivan or apj abdul kalam) or politicians. 5) the silicon valley of india bengaluru, the big centres of modern india like hyderabad and chennai all are in south india. How many such places can you name from north east? 6) south indian culture has found depiction in most places of art throughout india. North east indian culture? I don't remember many places it was even mentioned. You comparing these two things is like someone comparing popularity of ronaldo with a local club player from aizwal. 7) people confuse telugu with tamil. Yes they do. So what? Can you tell me all the movies seperately from punjabi haryanvi and rajasthani cinema? Can you differentiate between maithili bhojouri and nepali languages? How many movies have YOU seen from the marathi bengali gujarati cinema? How many of those movies from these cinemas can your local population identify separately? I am not a kind of person who judges people, but i see a streak of a very typical kind of south indian who thinks he has been oppressed by the people in the 'north india' and the 'hindi belt'. And i am not surprised tbh.

For you Achara, during lightning, just try to stay in a metal container, for example your car. Due to the electrostatic shielding, it's the safest spot to not get hit by lightning. But try to stay away from tall poles or trees or buildings, because they are the spots where lightning's gonna strike most likely. Although in an open field and in a very intense thunderstorm, crouching is the best way to be safe when a car is not available.

I'm a Malayali pursuing higher studies in Shillong, Meghalaya. This place is absolutely beautiful by many means - the places, welcoming and helpful natives (at least the ones that I have interacted with), their love for nature and their culture and great streat food. But the weather is UNPREDICTABLE! Today, i.e. the day I'm commenting this, the morning was very sunny but it was raining heavily in the afternoon (like, there's no warning - within seconds the sky becomes cloudy and just starts raining) and the evening was windy and foggy. Since the humidity is also quite less, the rain dries up quite fast. We won't even know that it rained a few hours before. But overall, the experience is beautiful ❤️

Ikr, i loved that part too Maybe sometimes we as people living here might not notice these lil’ things but really appreciable that he noticed. I was really touched but that part! ❤️ They are the best partners, Achara is smart and she proved it again when she caught on that part that maybe they are visiting in the monsoon season and Dec and Jan are late winter months so the river clears up by then! And then there’s Jaby who has that emotional side and that keen eye how he really notices that signboard in the gate!
