Just an assumption- I think Akshay Kumar here is just imaginary, like he is the image of a perfect man in Sara 's head, but as we know everyone has flaws and nothing can be flawless, so she ends up with Dhanush. May be Akshay Sir is either imaginary or can be seen only by Sara

I’m not the biggest fan of love triangles just because of how many times I’ve seen them in films and shows but this casting is so unique that I’m instantly intrigued! I love dhanush so much because raanjhanaa is one of my favourite films (love triangle), akshay Kumar looks so cool as a magician, and sara looks beautiful and I love her energy in this trailer! I too have a theory, that Sara's character might be schizophrenic, and Akshay is just a figment of the imagination. First of all, she says she ran 21 times with the guy but didn't succeed, then Akshay shows up with so much extravagant pomp and is just interacting with her, none of the other characters interact with him. Since Dhanush has fallen in love with Sara , it breaks his heart to see her in this condition where she can't tell what's real and what's imaginary. It's what I've deduced.
