My ex was a HUGE Kpop fan and she always wanted to go to a concert. One time, she got to know her dad got released from his job and got a pretty big amount as severance. Instead of being supportive of her father, she started begging him to go to one of those Kpop concerts. Her argument was that since her father has received a large amount, and no longer has the excuse to go to work, they should not have a problem to attend a concert. It was a huge argument and she used to bitch to me about her dad all day long. Even after 2-3 months of her basically trying everything, her father never conceded, and she even tried convincing me to talk to him (wtf?). We broke up for some other reason but all that time I was just surprised at the kind of behaviour she was displaying. It's just a goddamn concert, your life doesn't depend on it. Like even I wanna go to a gaming tournament, but if I go, that will be by my own money, not beg my father who just lost a job?!?!?
