I am from east india n I grew up watchig him on tv loved him in chennai vs china, time story, mass and now movies like Jai Bhim, Soorarai Potturu. Just so you know, this is not a historic retelling but rather a fantasy. The director has said, and I quote, “The film is set 1500 years ago, and uses elements from ancient Tamil culture as well as other cultures from all over India. Kanguva is a fictional story set in an imaginary world with strong historical references and facts.” So don't expect to learn real indian history like you could with say Ponniyin Selvan or something.

Greek were in India around 300 BC.. fought a lot of battles and later made peace with king Chandragupta who offered fierce resistance..he then married a greek princess...before the Greeks Alexander from Macedonia tried to invade the north west but his army refused to march further after a bloody battle with king Porus army..Alexander himself was badly wounded...they met with elephants which they caught them by surprise..i guess they might have come across someone like Kanguva..😅
