tanmay once made a joke on Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mageshkar. People got so offended by that they started burning poster of tanmay. But the funny thing was that both sachin and Lata never got angry on that video. After realizing that people still were offended for them for no reason. Getting offended is like full time job for many people in this country. Maybe someone will get offended by this comment. The category is limitless from religion, cast, ideology, name, movie posters, even geographical background etc. The list can go forever.

Today I was watching Anil Kapoor's Nayak and there's​ a dialogue​ by Paresh Raval “jab se bihar ho ke aaye hai kuchh bhi ulta sidha bolte rehte hai”. Lots of people would have been offended by that dialogue if it gets released in today's era. Back then people were really chilled out!!

I used to live in Mumbai and most people say Mumbai and Bombay interchangeably. No idea what those people were mad about. I think certain things are important for people to not be okay with, otherwise people like Trump would have free-reign to say whatever without backlash. I think the problem comes from the fact that many actual hateful right-wingers and such claim that their comments are jokes even when they're not, and this has meant SJWs assume people who are actually joking aren't. Both sides tend to go too overboard. People bring up Pewdiepie but I don't think his case is valid here. I don't think he's anti-semitic, I just think his joke was shit. It didn't have the format of setup, turn and punchline that a good joke should so it just came of as an edgelord's attempt at shock value, with about the amount of humour as a KZbin comment. Just saying shocking things doesn't make them automatically funny. They need to be framed properly, the way comedians like Louis CK and Bo Burnham tackle taboo subjects. Also it needs to be obvious to the audience that you don't actually agree with that or you'll just end up drawing in the type of crowd who actually do have those shitty views and think you agree.

I feel for the foreigners. How would they know what's offensive and what's not? It's true in most cases. In some cases though it's more about ignorance and lack of general awareness. But yeah, i couldn't agree more. World is becoming way too much politically correct. The thing is that people are dealing in extremes these days. Not only people are getting offended for petty reasons but also there are people who are taking "chilling" to the extreme and not even accepting it. It means, they know they have offended people but they'd be douche about it and say, "well, ppl need to chill." That never used to happen before. There were lesser ppl getting offended as well as there were lesser offensive things.
