Prasiddh in Sanskrit means someone famously known for the Mastery over something worthwhile. Siddh itself means a Master (literally it means you have completed the art/craft etc). Pra adds a “supreme” element to it, as to push it to even higher a position. Another example is Prakhyat, where khyat means famous. Prakhyat kind of means lile he’s famous all around. Similarly when you say, Prasiddh. He’s the best among the masters. The name Pasidh is probably taken from this.

LoL, this is my stuff. As an ESL teacher with a major in Sanskrit, I'm giddy LoL. 1. Mai-trey is pronounced mae as in man. Trey can be tri, trey or treya (the last a is like schwa) depending on the region. The t is a very hard sound. For reference, imagine the difference between the pronunciation of T in King Tut (anglicized) and Tutankhamen (real). 2. Dh-ri-ta-ra-sh-tra (there was a mistake in the video, or maybe it's from another region). To be fair, this is Sanskrit, not Hindi, so it's more difficult. Now, the dh sound is not something that English has. Think of it like 'wild-horse' (the sound of d and h together; except the d is pronounced like Donde in Spanish). Also, the a after t in ta is a schwa sound. There's a very simple rule for that. The rest is just pronounced as it looks, pretty much like Spanish does it. The guy in black and white stripes didn't deserve to be hit on this one, LoL. 3. Achara nailed it in the first try. Mri-na-lika. If you can do the Mri, you can do the rest. The second one, MriNAlika, is wrong, because Hindi is like Japanese where each syllable gets the same stress. 5. Aaditya or Aditya is pronounced AA-DIT-YAA. Now, the problem here is the t sound. It's not the English T or Greek theta, it's the Russian Ta/Te. For instance, there and tam (there is Russian) are very different in how they pronounce the T. In the English t, the tip of your tongue is touching your upper palate, while in the Indian or Russian T, the tip of your tongue is touching the back of your upper teeth. 6. I've never seen another foreigner pronounce Dhriti this accurately in their first attempt. That was great! As for 'strength'; Jayesh >> Jay = Jeet. (Jay is Sanskrit and Jeet is Hindi). Jay-esh means the god of victories. Most names with -ish or -esh suffix have similar meaning. They tend to be old-fashioned names though. Jiyeon sounds like a really cute name. I wonder what Ayush could be, haha.

The two names they got wrong were the ones most common to Korean and Mahayana Buddhist culture in general. Maitreya is the Buddha who is yet to arrive (contradictory to what Ambedkarites say) and Dhritarashtra is one of the four Heavenly kings or the Four guardians of the cardinal directions i.e. Chaturmaharaj/Chaturdikpal (Not to be confused with Dhritarashtra from the Mahabharat).

Some spellings were wrong: "Maitreyi" or "Maitri" for girl (both are different words) "Maitreya" for guy It's "Dhritarashtr" "Raj" means rule, "Raja" means king, "Yuvaraj" means prince Also IMO India should officially use "aa" for writing the way they speak it, like make it mandatory to avoid confusion, since we don't have much symbols in our Indian style of English writing, unlike European language's umlauts or breves. For example, the A at the start of Aditya and the one in Aditi are different. The point I wanted to make is, why not mandatorily write it is as "Aaditya"?? I know many "Aaditya"s too, but "Aditya"s should change to "Aaditya". Again, it should be "Raajaa", "Yuktaa" etc.
