When I saw the title of this episode 001. I thought there will be a short backstory of Oh Ilman the old man, but my mind just went 🤯 and now I'm so angry and speechless at the same time on what In-ho just did to Gi-hun's plan.

Little inside on Thanos's character but I'm so happy to see T.O.P , the actor's name who plays player 230 aka Thanos, again acting. T.O.P was in the OG boyband called bigbang (really succesful). He has always struggled with his mental health, has been diagnosed depression & anxiety disorder(lots to do with the fame he got since age 18) He has had many haters in the past but in 2017 he smoked a little weed with a friend bc he has high anxiety and the entirety of Korea started a hate train(very conservative country).Shortly after T.O.P tried to unalive himself was fortunately unsuccesful and was treated in the hospital but after that got even more heavily b*llied online again by the whole country(bc he is a big star over there) saying things like "he should've" or sending death threats or similar thing,the media came to the hospital with hundreds of camera's and started berating his mom while recording him was also forced to apologize publicly live for "stressing the fans" bc of his attempt. (how absurd right?).He completely left the industry (eventhough he has successfull music and acting awards) Korea treated him like dirt for smoking a little weed twice in his own home.Harming nobody. He left his whole life behind in Korea, didn't want anything to do with them anymore (rightfully so) after his suic*de attempt and moved to the US and has gotten way better mentally, started acting again and this role(thanos) is basically a dig at how Korea made him out to be, like the korean media made T.O.P out to be this evil,monster ruining wild on drugs when all he did was smoke a little weed in his own home 3 times bc his ex-girlfriend gave him that has help for his anxiety,so now he portrays this psycho character on drugs like how the media slanted his name as a dig to Korea in a very popular show. I'm sorry this has become a very long comment, thought it would be interesting for you guys to know the little inside to his character he plays, also just very happy to see him back acting his butt off and making music again(not released yet)(he is a real rapper irl) after all he has been through and deserves an apology and the best , Love that he's kinda of taking his revenge on his country.(+smoking&drinking alcohol is worse than weed but Korea don't mind those drunk criminals running around but make a witch hunt over some weed.

I think the reason Sung didn't offer ppl to change their mind with his prize money is because Sung needs that money as his weapon to put an end of squid game, like forever, not just this one game. They will keep gathering desperate ppl and playing squid game if Sung won't get rid of the head of the hydra. Nothing changes. That is why Sung did not tell people that he won this game before and earned loads of blood money, he knew people won't take his words or even try to harm him to take his money. Sung is really trying to keep everyone alive and end this game, yet his goal is far beyond that. He wants to erase the very existence of this game, and then give his money to the families of those who died in last game.

We must keep in mind that everything in squid game is made to entertain bored rich people without moral filters. I really like how they're handling the conflict between the players too. If you noticed they (the organisers) modified the games a bit probably because gi hoon is there. You didn't vote every round in season 1, only if someone invokes the voting clause. And the money if the gamw is terminated was given to the families of the dead, the living players get nothing

Slight spoilers with my interpretation of In-ho and Gi-hun: One of the things I love about the new season is how it mirrors real-life politics (once again). Along with the other players - now symbolically marked by red and blue "stickers" - In-ho and Gi-hun represent two opposing philosophical viewpoints. The blue team is primarily focused on self-interest and survival, while the red team is more concerned with the collective good. In-ho and Gi-hun embody these perspectives in stark, almost exaggerated ways. In-ho's goal is not just to keep the games going, but to break Gi-hun's spirit and force him to see things from his perspective. Throughout the game, In-ho plays by Gi-hun's rules, following his lead, and still, players decide to stay and continue. Every time we catch his secret gazes, it's almost as if he's trying to ask Gi-hun: do you see? Do you understand now? Gi-hun is right that their choices are an illusion (as we saw in season 1 - it's coerced consent), but In-ho also has a point - his view is simply more pragmatic. He believes this is the world they live in, and he genuinely thinks he's doing good by offering a select few a chance at happiness, even if it means allowing many others to die. In his eyes, it’s a cruel world, and while people will continue to die, why not help a few escape the misery, playing by the rules of those in charge? Gi-hun believes the world can be changed. In-ho doesn’t share that optimism; he doesn't think change is possible, and he isn't interested in trying.

Speaking of blue and red pill analogy though with the whole "good for others and belief in change", it's really complex that blue pill is associated with self-interest and individualism but conservatism denying changes and not wanting to be aware of others' lives and needs is kinda associated with red pill. The show is obviously showing "blue as bad and red as good" (In terms of the voting situation alone of course), and there's no problem with that, but to compare it with political stances as an audience is very much not as simple as that. I'm still at episode 1. &I still don't get it Gi-hun motivation to go back/or and hire thugs and waste his money for those. Like what if he won't find that recruiter &his money gone by playing thugs? Bruh, gong you kinda right thou, its player choice to play/enter the game. What he should do was put up a business, build his own home, support his child, give money to sang woos mother and saboek brother and get his therapy. Also, still accepting playing with the recruiter at episode 1, doesn't make sense. He has a plan to stop the game yet play game that will still kill him immediately.

There is a major rule change this season which you guys have not noticed and it is that if the majority terminates the game then the money get distributed among people who are alive whereas in the privious on it would go to the families of the dead participants whereas now it goes to the alive participants thus making the choice easier to end the game . Also a lot less people died in the 1 st game in 2 season then 1 season and also there is one confusion in the privious seson the vote could take place at any time but now the square person said it can take place only after each game so its not clear if seong can do it in middle of the game like he did last season in the sixth game .
