Mary Livingston AKA Sadie Marks whose family's name can be seen as producers and directors on many tv shows. Her brother Hilliard Marks produced and director Jack's radio and tv shows.

@@davidhallett8783 Jack met Mary when she was 14 because Zeppo Marx was invited to her families home for Passover, thinking the their last name was also Marx. Jack was 25 and doing his act with the Marx Brothers in San Francisco. Years later just as Mary graduated from high school her sister Babe wrote Jack and told him Mary was thinking of getting married to a guy in one of her classes. Jack dropped everything and went to Mary's home and he insisted on marrying her. They were married and Mary passed out after the ceremony.

Awwwww. I was not alive when Benny was on the radio. But i do remember him from tv in the 60s. I was a huge fan of the Jungle Book and i loved Baloo the Bear. So it is wonderful to hear Phil Harris.. and Mel Blanc? Bugs Bunny was my childhood hero.. i was a Looney Tunes girl... lol. I certainly enjoy Jack Benny radio. Such a great group of people.. such great writing. The best.

Love Jack Benny. Times I think I was born in the wrong era. Cause look around and essentially same issues from then are the issues of today but there actually was a functioning government then.
