"Alcoholism is an equal opportunity destroyer." Wow 👏 How very true. I've seen it affect my family and lost many friends, loved ones and acquaintances to alcoholism and addiction.

53:00 - 54:55 This is truly what a sponsor or fellow member of A.A. is trying everyday to share with the new comer. Bob and Ken were willing to risk offending me. Because, they KNEW I had been offended before, and that I would get over being offended. And they were willing to risk angering me. They KNEW I'd been angry before, and that I would get over being angry. They KNEW I was DYING OF UNTREATED ALCOHOLISM. If something didn't change and didn't change soon ... there would be no coming back from that. They KNEW something that I didn't know. And they knew that I didn't know what it was that they KNEW, that I didn't know. But, they also KNEW that, if I knew that they knew something that I didn't know, the mere fact that they knew something that I didn't know, that fact, would make me angry. Just knowing that they KNEW something I didn't know what it was that they knew that I didn't know. But, they KNEW what it was that they knew I didn't know what it was, that they knew. But, they KNEW that if they were consistent and persistent coming to me and presenting to me the program of recovery of A. A., they BELIEVED and had FAITH that some day, possibly, some day, I would come to KNOW what it was that they KNEW, that I didn't know. And when I FOUND OUT what it was that they KNEW, that I didn't know, that they KNEW I didn't know, that I didn't know that they knew, what it was that I didn't KNOW ... that I would no longer be angry, knowing that they knew something, that I didn't know. Because, then, I would KNOW what they knew that I didn't know. Because in A.A. you know WHEN you know that you know, that you know! And not a moment before. Now if you follow that, you're in the right place. If you find that to be the least bit confusing, you're still in the right place. It just means you don't know! very well said indeed Jack!
