Thanks for uploading this. I used to buy all my 45s there back in the late 70s and early 80s, most of which I still have. I am now a professional DJ. Those were the days indeed.

That studio was in Parkcrest Plaza in Burnaby. I knew Jack personally.

Cullen's nightly 'Owl Prowl' was highly entertaining for me, as he played old radio shows, such as The Whistler, The Shadow, Lux Radio Theatre, etc. As a kid, would listen on radio when thought to be sleepin'.

I have disliked Jack Cullen ever since I heard his interview of Annette Hanshaw. I won't go into detail, except that my dislike would have been manifested physically if I had ever met him. This video makes me see him a more balanced way. Thanks for that.

+Terry Todd Further to that Terry. Not sure of the dates but Jack and his wife Joy owned a record store on Hastings right around Abbot Street called Cullens Records. He had a studio in the back where he broadcasted from. Noon till 1pm He and Joy did a show called "Jack and Joy". He did the "Prowl" from there at night. Now here's the little tidbit...Fred worked at C-Fun. Red worked at WX Jacj at NW...all three of them finished at Midnight. they would meet in Chinatown for a late dinner

This studio was at Parkcrest Plaza in Burnaby. Not at Brentwood. That studio-record store closed in the late 1970s. As did his other record stores. I knew Jack personally and lived with his son for many years. Our band used to practice in this studio.

At the end of the clip, there is some footage of his Brentwood studio-record store which closed in the late 1970s. I knew Jack and lived with his son.
