is anyone else here who finds Herbies solos funny partly? He sometimes does this little jokes in them as in 2:08 where he plays outside and goes Maj7 -> root and then makes a trill out of these two tones like a person who made a big jump and almost falls over at the end but balances with his arms :D

Just a note to Vic Glazer: I'm sure you realize that when this was recorded, that Yamaha DX7 was brand new on the scene and "The Cat's Meow!" This is an older video of these masterful artists. What a great cut!

Close--the DX7 was already out of production a year before this concert. But it was still considered current technology in 1990. Born 1983, last one made 1989.

Are my eye deceiving me? Is Herbie playing a Yamaha DX7?????? That keyboard has been extinct for 20 + years!! However, that obviously takes nothing away from the brilliant music.
