I was 11 on rugby tour in Scotland at the bottom of a maul my arm got crushed feeling like it was a zig zag. The ref got the doctor on and he said” nay bother wee man tha arms fine yeh Ken? So with that diagnosis ignoring the fact everyone was drunk including the doctor I played on not 5 minutes later at the bottom of another maul I heard a snap and grind, the doctor said yeh may be right about the arm laddie. But it was our last night and as I would be drinking I thought no hospital we will go and find the dance troop girls, woke up in agony but it was our last match that day then we left so I had a couple of shandies and forgot. I forgot until the following afternoon so the third day and I was not feeling any pain and the doctors started to suspect I was an abused child separated from my dad for interrogation. So my point! if there’s something better to think of ( women usually) you forget about broken arms until you have the time to think of it. Jack was evidently enjoying himself and probably could have broken the other and not bothered. 10/10 for mind over matter.
