McGregor is done with MMA. He'll try to keep up but it's all over for him. It was a full 5 minutes before he talked about something other than the movie, then he immediately said "I'm busy with promoting the movie,"and *"then there's St. Patty's with the alcohol"" Haha he really said he can't schedule a fight because of St Patrick's day and alcohol. He's been ducking Chandler since a few weeks after TUF filming started. With that level of commitment, he'll be retiring by the end of this year.

I don’t think it’s Chandler that’s the issue, I think it’s Dana and the front office worrying that McGregor isn’t fit for purpose anymore, that he’s using UFC to promote his business portfolio and to stay relevant, to train and keep focus away from other temptations…they don’t need to be used as a prop for someone. I’m not saying that’s what I think, I’m saying I wonder if that’s what the UFC think.

Conor is who he is. He's no angel but I do think he's been treated very harshly by the UFC since his injury. It's almost like the new owners wanted to move on from him at the first opportunity and now see the way Dana tries to move on as quickly as possible in interviews whenever his name is mentioned constantly bringing up his wealth and questioning if he even wants to fight despite Mcgregor being one of the most passionate fighters when fighting is even mentioned. I bring this up because there's maybe only five fighters to seismically shift the sport of MMA into the mainstream - Liddell, GSP, Lesnar, Rousey and McGregor. I would bet Conor made more revenue for UFC than those other four fighters combined during his 2013-2021 run which is absolutely nuts when you look at those names. My point is if anyone deserves clarity and respect it's McGregor.

@@DizGuys thing is conor's always blaming his comeback delay on other people, Dana, opponents, USADA. when fact is he was scheduled to fight Chandler last year but couldn't piss clean, and now that USADA's not an issue he's trying to find another reason not to fight. honestly i think he retires before he signs a fight

If Conor wants to have an acting career beyond fighting, he's definitely going to have one in Hollywood if he wants it. He already understands the mindset and process of the actor; few are able to grasp it so quickly. But I hope he's got some good fights left in him. He certainly has his demons, but I'm always rooting for him.

Would be nice if you dug a little deeper in to how he is feeling about the fight negotiations or lack there of. You can clearly see the man is hurting. Instead you glazed over it and tried to side track with more movie small talk. Feels like most interviewers have gone robotic, following a script passed down from above and told what they can and cant say. Souless.

You can see that the UFC is frustrating Conor by not letting him fight, or not finding a way to get him on a card. They should thank Conor for what he brought to the UFC, he is still box office, the best of them all in getting the eyes on the UFC, a lot of fans drifted away a bit if Conor isn't in the lime light.
