I completely out of nowhere got pulled back into my old lane, aka the bitter sparrabeth shippers club™
This is yet another one of my ancient obsessions that I never got to vid, and this song has always been /their/ song for me so I'm glad to get this out of my system. Even though it made me truly emo asjlsdsa.
The thing that gets me about these two is the fact I know they didn't belong together. Ultimately, as they have both stated, it wouldn't have worked (at least in my opinion). As adventurous as Elizabeth is, Will was her shore and her home. She'd always go back to him eventually, regardless of whatever is it that she had for Jack.
And about that, there was never a conclusion to their story, no closure. We don't know for sure how they really felt about each other because I bet they didn't know it themselves. There was just this unbearable attraction pulling them together every time until they were apart for good, and all the 'what ifs' surrounding this pairing honestly KILL ME.
I love them. Their chemistry had me panting...I can't believe disney made it.

they were such a huge huge ship for me (and still are tbh) and you just captured their relationship so perfectly, the sexual tension, the deep understanding they had of each other and how each of them had a mask on with their true selves lying hidden underneath (and only showing that true self to the other at very vulnerable moments), this is perfect and I truly hope we get more material for them in these films coming up, i will be watching this again and again in the meantime!

Jack is the wilderness because he isn’t predictable; he’s entirely free-spirited at his core. Consequently, his lifestyle is not stable enough to raise a family. He truly, deeply craves freedom out of life. That’s his destiny: To live sailing the deep blue sea. I firmly believe that Jack and Elizabeth are twin flames. But Will is that person for whom Elizabeth knows is more capable of being the stable father to her children. Of course, how stable can a father really be when he has to be gone for ten years at a time? He does, however, contain much more loyalty, romance, and respect for his wife which is exactly what anyone could hope for. Loyalty goes a very long way. And so does romance when it takes the form of a selfless act consistently shown towards another human being. That’s truly what makes Will and Elizabeth work so well together. They both have the same trajectory; the same goals and aspirations. This means they will work incredibly well as teammates in a marriage.
