I have a little story to tell all of you other 59 and more in the comments. I am a 15 year old kid and I felt pretty bad (you will understand later) and I went to my dad and he just texted me with this song. Rewind about 12 years ago. I am a little 3-4 year old and my dad shows me this person named Jack Johnson. I immediately fell in love with the music and always wanted to listen to him. This continued and I heard “Banana Pancakes”, “Siting, Waiting, Wishing” and others and until we moved to Georgia (from Florida) I stopped listening to him. After a couple years in elementary school 3-5 I was so focused on school and super stressed. By 6th Grade, I was so stressed and my grades were slipping and I had so much anxiety that I had to sit in a designated room so I don’t have any more panic attacks. Rewind again (oops) about 4th grade my parents divorced and I didn’t want to do anything. Fast forward back to 6th grade, my mom met a nice, funny, and cool guy and about 2-3 years later, they got married in November. Now you see why I had to rewind a second time. By then, we moved a little far more north of the place my dad lived (30 minutes) and that wasn’t much of a big deal but the panic attacks were still coming and I just had to endure. My panic attacks to clarify were at first: My throat felt like it was closing. Second: I couldn’t feel like I was getting oxygen. So if you have ever felt those feelings, you would understand that I was so afraid to do anything. Up until 8th grade (the grade I was just in) I haven’t done much about it. I finally went to the doctor and I was told I had mild ADHD and Tourette’s. I was given medicine and it was helping a little bit. Now it’s summer time for me and I’m doing football practices every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:30 to 10:00 and today I was just tired of having attacks so I talked to my dad and he just replied with this song. I listened to it for about 30 minutes over and over and as you know, I was tired from workouts so I fell asleep. When I woke up, It was still playing through my headphones and I just started to cry. I still want to meet Jack Johnson someday and it’s on my bucket list. Thank you everyone for listening to my story.
