Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

for the shirt that says "so god made a farmer" it wasn't until then that i realized my favorite part of today: driving the biggest, oldest tractor down a suburban street today was a huge man in overalls and i was smiling and asking myself " what in the world is he doing & where could he possibly be coming from & going?" it was so strange the feeling i had inside of me in awe of his representation like a mirage & its one thing that i'll never know the answer to but just to have been there to witness it like the tiniest parade ever he was in heaven.
