I’ve seen Jack in the Uk a dozen times most times front row and 15 years or so ago I took my little girl ...she was on my seat and Jack sang Lady and came down and held her hand. This man is the most underrated singer ever and truly is up there with Frank. Please come back to the Uk Jack even just once.

I actually watched that Christmas television episode of The Judy Garland show with Jack Jones just this past Christmas! What a kick I got out of it! Some excellent talent there, and such an honor to be starring next to Judy Garland!

Jack has had a long and diverse career spanning 60+ years. Like many of his late crooner contemporaries, he was greatly impacted by the British invasion and rock and roll. He has sung standards, show tunes, pop, and jazz. The passage of time has relegated him to minor celebrity status, but he is a great talent. Now that nearly all his peers are gone, and Tony Bennett announced his illness, Jack is one of the LAST of the great crooners. In my opinion, Mathis never embraced the standards and Michael Buble hasn't really really picked up the torch. Get out to see Bennett and Jack Jones while we still have them.

@@marypearce6823 I'm 86, and have seen Jack 5 times in the UK many years ago now. My late husband was a musician and ballad singer, his Idol was Frank, but Jack has always been MY man. My husband had to confess to singing Jacks arrangements of many of the ballads though.

Jack will always be one of the top interpreters of trad pop...if not the best. It was rather late for me to know and become one of his fans until i listened to his 2 albums in the 70s- What I did for love and the Chsrles Aznavour album...the rest was history

Jack Jones - one of the very greatest. Thanks for posting this. (Oh: that first song isn't called "That's Got His Own" as it says on the tracking here. It's "God Bless the Child" (written by Billie Holiday and Arthur Herzog, Jr.).

It's 2023 and I'm actually getting to know how great jack was and is is today. I was in my car and the Lady came on by Jack Jones. I thought guy's. voice is unbelievable. The voice was high, and he sung the song with such passion. I'm now a Jack Jones fan. He is the last man (Crooner) standing.

This is how to have a great star, such a talented singer, gentleman and a man with such a refined sense of humour, to have the honour to have Jack Jones at this blessed age of his life, to have him for an interview, a retrospective about his life, and then how to ruin it all, not allowing him to talk any long, but Will Friedwald always cutting him all the time wanting to be only himself and his shiny bald head to become the unique star to fill the screen and never stopping to talk his own ego.... Mr. Friedwald missed the chance to honour a living talented legend having him in a chat, to allow him to shine his own, by giving him time and space enough to talk about his life as much as he wanted so that everyone could enjoy about his life experience so deeply interesting. Also, if it's about music after all, you have such talented singer talking, and this "retrospective" and chat sucks at sound & image quality for the audience! So disappointing... You can not face a job like like this, being technically so terrible, and without humbleness and generosity, if your sense of admiration it's truly real.

Jack was one of the best crooners that ever were he was right up there with Dino and Sinatra end the very best for some reason he never got all of the credit he deserves I think maybe some of the big shots kept him down a little bit I’m not sure but the theme for the love boat should not have been his most major work he had a voice that made Dean Martin’s who I love deeply secondary to Jack’s. There’s no way around it Jack had a better voice than Dino and Sinatra! And I know I’m gonna get a lot of throwback about this but just listen to it I was a singer all my life and I love no voices and I know the way your Supposed to end phrases quickly in songs and finished notes and Jack Jones was better at it than Dino or Sinatra he just was listen to it I love Sinatra I love Dino always have always will so please save your critiques sinatra fans i am too! he came at a time that was difficult for any crooner with FRANK DEAN AND TONY BENNET HOW DOES ANYONE COMPETE WITH THEM

He was a victim of bad timing. Not his fault. Frank and Dean were already established and like you said British Invasion and Rock did not help him.He got beat out with Strangers in the Night.Even Frank said he was a great singer.Need I say more!

@@douglasj.arcuri1370 I still think Jack Jones was the best (underrated) sing of his era. Now has finally, he's got the crown. He is officially the KING of the Crooners 2023.

No argument from me.. especially his live content. I love Dino , but he goofed around too much. It was as if he never got over Jerry Lewis leaving. Jack just delivered. I. Introduced him to a friend yesterday and she called back to say she loved him.
