RIP, Jack Jones. What a marvelous voice and such great musical sensibilities and style -- Jack, your singing has ALWAYS been hip. A singer's singer, and one of the very best of all time. :-) Thanks for sharing your gifts with us.

What is striking about this interview, as a person who was not a Jack Jones follower in my youth and is only now listening to his gorgeous singing. . . sorry to use this overused term but . . what a class act he is. His ease of listening and conversing without drama, without overstating, just answering questions smartly. And his talking about "trying to be hip" and trying to find "who you are" was insightful. So many who didn't belong in that space but had a niche of their own, did that with disastrous results. But Jones' voice could do anything with song. How about that - I'm a new fan in the 21st century.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT Jack Jones the silver fox now and a fabulous interview and opening up on HIS life . His Phantom of the opera is sensational and you can see his DAD - ALLAN JONES had some influence early on in his career. Still performing out of PALM SPRINGS and touring in 2022 - i believe.

R.I.P. Jack Jones. Inspired by Sinatra and admired by him and Tony Bennett. For my money...better vocally than either. Peerless.
