Whatever you did to make that show what it was, was clearly the right thing to do. You will go down as Quincy Forever! That show rocked because it was YOU who was Quincy! I don't dare to think about what would have happened if they had used someone else to play the character on that show, it never would have lasted! And your connecting character in Howie, well it was a hit all round, that's relationship is the INSPIRATION behind why writing for a re-union of that show if there were one Today!

Even before QUINCY, a Canadian show called WOJECK was about a coroner. "Dean Womer" of ANIMAL HOUSE played that part.

Once you think about the police procdural shows today, "Quincy, M.E." was essentially the "C.S.I:" Series of the late 1970s and early 1980s. After, "Quincy" there was more crime solving coroners or medical examiners.
