Listening to Norm talk about Louis CK and Roseanne was so genuine and intelligent that they had to crucify him. He was the hero we didn’t deserve to begin with and then the way he got sick anyway d dealt with that on his own then got fucked over by Jimmy Fallon and his ilk before the cancer finally rolled him is kind of biblical in it’s tragedy.

His humor was simply to drop a punchline that NO ONE saw coming, and with that said the joke was so perfect that there was NOTHING that any other comedian(s) could say that could top it. Norm was the funniest guy in the last 40 years, and this was an era of some truly great comedic talent. RIP Norm McDonald, you were "The King of Comedy"!

There’s a generational thing perhaps. People don’t talk the same way or remember the same things. That’s one. Social media has also changed people drastically and for the worse. I think young people are more alone, pampered, scared, etc. Theres definitely been a cultural shift and younger people don’t seem comfortable with conflict and irony. They’re more literal perhaps. Being self-aware can be taken to extremes as well. Comedy seems pretty boring and canned these days. I gave up on TV entirely, let alone SNL.
