Triumph is voiced by Robert Smigel, an old comedy buddy of Conan's going back to when they wrote for Saturday night Live. He's very funny himself, and wrote for lots of shows like Mr Show with Bob and Dave, and was Conan's first head writer on his talk show

It seems many people don't know - or have forgotten - that Jack McBrayer and Triumph had their own sitcom together on Adult Swim. It wasn't fantastic, but if you love both of them, it's a curiosity worth seeking out. If you do more Triumph bits, I suggest you include "Conan" as part of your search because the character is owned by Robert Smigel and he has done a lot of stuff outside of Conan... But his Conan bits tend to be his best.

I’ve mentioned before that the early years of Conan’s original show are way better than recent stuff. Triumph was a recurring character in those early years and Robert Smigel (the guy behind Triumph) was a staff writer back then and did lots of bits on the show.
