That's a great movie...pretty wild, even for those times. Jack was brilliant, as always. But so was Art. It's Ann-Margret who really blows you away. Sexy, needy...but also holds her own opposite Jack. It's probably too real for today's audiences, but see it if you can. Battle of the sexes, like they used to say. Some things never change, it seems!

"Believe me. Looks are everything". That belief would come back to bite Jack Nicholson's character later on in the film.

Art was really brilliant in this film -- still amazes me how he pulled that off

"But looks aren't everything" only Art could say this line in that simple yet deep way, makes the great Nicholson looks so little, childish in just a second. What a deep pure soul🤍

Jack wasn't quite in his prime but Art always added an interesting offbeat quality to his roles.

Edith Bunker said she thought it was "Carnival Knowledge" when Archie complained about the trashy movie she had suggested.
