@MarkSmithhhh2 жыл бұрын
I don't buy the equipment argument as there's just no way to tell...I mean by that logic we could say Bobby Jones is the goat and it's never gonna be a winnable argument (i.e., if someone comes along and wins 25 majors, the equipment argument stoll stands up)...tiger hit 320+ yard drives with late 90s equipment and spinny balls, he'd have been just fine in that era, this is tiger woods were tslking about, hes talented and hard working enough to make his game elite with any equipment.. honestly it's a good thing tiger and jack played in different eras or they would have kept beating each other and we wouodnt get to see their true greatness...not to mention jack alone ruined the major count for guys like palmer and player, imagine if you throw tiger in...I feel like the goat argument we have to look at what the players themselves can affect (tiger can't affect his competition nor his equipment just like jack couldn't affect his as im sure he dealt with a lot of the same arguments when he was coming up being compated to the legends before him) The only facts I can surmise are this... 1. They're both the best of their Era...period. and they're the two best ever. 2. Jack's a better person (altho tiger has gotten humbled latelt and frankly I don't know what I'd do with a billion dollars and porn stars throwing themselves at me at the age of 21, easy to say I'd be all class, but I was pretty stupid when I was young and I didn't have the temptations of limitless money nor endless women salivating over me), still I wouldn't want my son looking to his younger days as a role model 3. During their prime tiger was more dominant than jack...Jack was hands down the best but not by as wide a margin as tiger, when tiger won. Tiger embarrassed everyone. Ive looked at it like this jack is the greatest professional golfer to ever live, he is the most successful ever, and he stands at the top of the most sought after stat in golf (majors won)...among competitive golf he's the goat Tiger, on the other hand, is the greatest player I've ever seen...he did things thought to not be humanly possible and when his head was right and he wasn't injured, as a pure player of the game, he's the best ever...so much so the game was never played nor viewed the same since he came around In competition, Jack's the goat, on any given day on a golf course, tigers the goat as far as what he can do with the club and ball... In any sport, the goat isn't necessarily the best player of all time, he's the most successful...MJ was the goat of basketball, but honestly LeBron is probably better than him as far as what he can and the level he CAN play on...

There's a greater dream, an eternal one, but: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:25). Let's pray for him so he'll give away his absurd wealth. Money means nothing to our Savior. So, Jesus does not consider the "American Dream."
@chickey3333 жыл бұрын
@@JohnJakeWilliam The Bible does not condemn wealth and neither should we. The Bible does not uphold poverty as the pathway to righteousness, nor should we. We can know that the presence or absence of money is not the way we measure God’s blessing. “Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all,” notes Proverbs 22:2. In Hebrews 11, often called the Faith Hall of Fame, you can read of heroes and martyrs, rich and poor, who made up the fabric of our Christian history. There are many more examples, but the point is this: For His purposes, God uses both rich and poor for His work on this earth, noting in 1 Samuel 2:7, “The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and He exalts.” However Mr. Nicklaus chooses to steward his money is between him and his Savior. But I wouldn't too much about it. By the time our corrupt governments get done implementing their wealth taxes and transaction taxes, capital gains confiscations and real estate forfeitures and any other creative means they can invent to rob us blind, Mr. Nicklaus will probably find himself living in a tent on the sidewalks of Columbus practicing his putts in and out of the traffic.

@@chickey333 "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that CONFESSES that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God" (1 John 4: 2-3). But why not let others know you are not ashamed to be a Christ follower by being a “light in the world?” Being an example to the WORLD. Nicklaus has been in the public life for sixty years, not a whisper about Jesus. That would be unbearable for a Christ follower.
@chickey3333 жыл бұрын
@@JohnJakeWilliam OK well then have it your way... death to the infidel. Merciless pain and agony to the nonbeliever. But could you just start with the tax man first? Today and throughout history there have been men who have confessed Jesus is Lord and stood at pulpits preaching God to the high heavens and turned out to be nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing... and you know that. When the day comes that Mr. Nicklaus has confessed to the world that he has renounced Christ and is an apostle of the dark side in one way or another then maybe I'll feel worthy of passing judgment upon him. Until then.... nope.
