Most beautiful piece of music to ever be used in a soundtrack, absolutely arouses the emotional responses. You're not human if you don't agree. Also Greatest movie Jeff bridges starred in.

this film has always left me with the most beautiful melancholy, the kind of sad that is happy and leaves you hopeful. leaves you day dreaming about the kind of world that we could have that we should have. the film 2010 always leaves me with the same kind of feeling, when David says somethings going to happen, something wonderful. and all the monoliths fill the sky flying out in every direction to bring life to every corner of the galaxy and to know that we are no longer alone.

I watch now and then on DVD. I can close my eyes and remember this music playing all around me at the Drive In. For those of you born after 1990. We actually drove our cars into a giant 10 acre complex and parked about 250+ cars to watch a movie on a giant outdoor screen. It was being played through speakers all throughout the complex and on one hanging in your car window. I really miss seeing movies like that; under the stars with the night breeze.

This movie. The soundtrack. Beautiful and memorable. So much in fact, as I was waiting for the season finale of GoT on HBO, I heard a small sound clip of the soundtrack in the background music of Dan Black’s “Symphonies” as they aired the preview for the new Zendaya series, “Euphoria” and I perked right up. Recognized it right away... that’s the music to Starman! Haven’t watched the movie in 30 years yet I remembered it’s beautifully haunting melody. Crazy.

I’m not from here either and I cannot wait to get back home … 😢I miss my family so so much, my people.. I never want to come back to earth ever again.. no pon intended against the human species.. it’s just not my thing to be in this type of form... unfortunately, I was sentenced here for 1000 years and my sentence is almost finished so I can give my report… soooo excited .. our time is very different than earth time and so many other things are different.. but it’s cool…

Why would you want to remake it? I would never be the same. This film is great as it is, it doesn't need to be ruined by new technology or ideas.

Its sad to know movies of this quality will never be made again... filmmakers got to change their storylines...regain emotion and a spark of difference...everyone is doing the same thing...point of films is for people to feel happy, and joyous coming out the movies with their dates...not by watching stupid, violent, movies that only represent mediocracy.

Maybe because producers lost that "felling". Old movies, the stories look almost real. Today special effects, violence, some movies are garbage. Sorry my english, I'm portuguese, born in 1981, and saw starman first time in 86.

The reason why everybody likes this song...! Is because of that slightly detectable alien *tint* to it; Therefore, we've all heard that sweet-eerie sound somewhere before... in the distant past, on a distant world, in a distant land... but in a land of distant light ...that makes it seem truly possible- that it is truly heaven like out there(!) -Stephen k. The Holy Spirit, allow me to see that the "Starman" is the morning star in the morning. Lucifier son of the morning...once again review your childhood Hollywood Satanic 80's,70's, 60's etc movies. It's been there all along ultra programming. Don't believe me, start looking at the movies symbolize. I cried too...and the whole time they feed on that emotional feelings. 1/3 has fallen and control Hollywood
