He's a Marine veteran with decades of stellar experience at Homeland Security and the Defense Department, AND no creepy baggage. So who needs Hegseth? Republican Senators can FINALLY relax and kick pie-eyed Pete to the curb.

Was he really the best choice? Anyone being honest knows he's not. So why is he the nominee. The veteran organizations alone is enough to sink anyone. Sleeping with a married woman while the husband and kids are in the same hotel room tells you all you need to know about his decision-making. Im just using what we know and what's not alleged. The letter is mother wrote to him tells you that the allegations are most likely true. He is not a good man. Veterans do not normally behave like this. Some do, and that's what we have the VA mental health for. We would never consider that same veteran capable of running an agency. We dont need someone perfect, but someone like this in charge of seasoned generals and admirals is simply wrong.

While I like Pete Hegseth as a person and commentator, as a historian and IR scholar, I can't approve of a man with such a lack of expertise to head the armed forces of the United States of America.

Are you serious peanut? Lack of expertise? He was Valedictorian of his high school graduating class. He has a Bachelor's degree from Princeton and a Masters from Harvard. He served as an infantry officer in the Army National Guard, attaining the rank of Major. What credentials allows you to judge Hegseth's expertise?

@imoaneloc5662 Pete holds a B.A. in politics and a M.A. in public policy. While respectable, he is out of his depth for the role he has been nominated for. The position of secdef requires exceptional insights in history, strategic studies and international relations. I don't hate the man, I loved watching him on fox for many years but he is in over his head.
