Jack's Lament - Nightmare Before Christmas - WORKTAPE EXCERPT

Here's "Jack's Lament" as it appears in a workprint of THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS made sometime during production.
Though the song is a mix of final vocals and demo instrumentals, the scene's animation is pretty final with the exception of a few missing shots of Zero.

Zero was probably animated the traditional way.

I'm possibly VERY late to this conversation but Zero was indeed a puppet! Though animated in a different spot and overlayed ontop of the footage! There's test footage of Zero in 2D though! In that test, Jack was voiced by Frank Welker, which I think is really interesting!!
