Buttercup is Jack's most popular song, and it honestly deserves to be! It's a great love song, I think it's about the overwhelming positivity you feel when you see somebody you're in love with. Some of the lyrics don't make sense, like "electrify my golden tooth," but Jack said in an interview that every lyric he writes makes sense, and he wouldn't sing them if they didn't. If you want more Jack, there's an official music video for his song Dead Weight, check that out! Oh, one more thing, he's playing an electric guitar in this song, not piano. I don't think he has any effects put on it either, it sounds completely clean.
