I loved this game as a kid but never actually knew how to do anything. The fun was just running around and exploring.

To be honest, I've never figured out what's the goal and what to do ;) I loved the details as a kid and I still do - eyes in the background, walking in the dark with a torch, custom death animations.

Same here, a lot of these games were impenitrable to me, so I would just look around and see what I could find. I guess that's why I love exploring in games now.

I had this game on my Commodore 64 as a tape version. It was fun to play, although i like mostly the original prequel JACK THE NIPPER - which i still have on the same format - also as a tape version - in a compilation called 10 GREAT GAMES 😺👍. And the music + sound effects by Ben Daglish is perfect 😺👍. R.I.P., Benn Greetings from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.

Those eyes, they...dissappeared. Look like he's being stalked by the Predator.

Well I can finally tick that off life's to do list. The ending seems somewhat unexplicable, maybe Apocalypse Now inspired. The music and exploration intrigued me as a kid.

I sent off to Gremlin for the hint sheet and I still couldn't finish the game! I think I still have it somewhere, in the box for the game. I'll go dig it out tomorrow I think :-)

The original Jack the Nipper was a really cool game. Very unique and fun. This one here has "rushed sequel" written all over it. I'm sure they had this utterly generic poor man's Indiana Jones platformer somewhere half-ready, and then thought "Jack the Nipper was a success. We need a sequel. Quick! Who gives a shit about the story".

Honestly without doubts; I disagree totally with you in every way possible. I actually sold my ZX so I could by me a C64. And I still dont regret it :)

Part II has not much in common with the first part and was not that good.

I never liked this on C64... and that ending - what is that all about? Could never see what all the fuss was about. I hear the ZX Spectrum version is vastly superior so maybe it was just a bad version (just like Cobra was immense on ZX but horrible on C64). Nice to see that the end was as pointless as the game itself.
