It was the most amazing experience there will never be another thing like it. The stars were so cool if you clicked with them you could hang with them all night I got into so many suite parties just floating from one star to another. I’d hang with one star and htroom to room smoking out and drinking.if you came into a suite with 1star all the other stars in the room would be cool with you then you slide off with a star from tgat room any hit another suite . irepeated that many times all nightclubs hen the next time you see them around they’d acknowledge you like they knew you. I had just started making beats. Ut got to play my beat tapes in smoke cyphers all night there will never be another event like that where stars are so relaxed and candid with regular people. Open bar and loud(actually called dro in every room had everybody relaxed up in there.I if you had a sack of some good that was your pass into some great after parties with open bar and everybody lit.

Wow! this video brings back so many memories.....We Was There! Jack the Rapper was at the disney place. Jack Gibbons nephew was our DJ. We had our own room on the 15th floor, bumpin Nas Illmatic the whole time. We had pictures of Redman, Wu Tang, Snoop, Das Efx, and Many More. I Love this footage...I had mad flick at this convention but lost my camera at the Death Row concert, It would be fly if some of those pics surface somewhere down the road on the internet.

IAll the stars there were approachable and were partying having a good time. I talked to Dallas Austin. He was 19 and had just finished the first Boys II Men album. Mow town Philly was all over the radio at the time he talked shop with me. We actually were using the same keyboard to make beats. Theses conventions actually made you feel like a star it was so easy to approach and have conversations with them.

its cool to see video from this event. my mom worked at 99jamz in the 80s/90s she used to tell me stories about how much fun they had going to this convention especially in atlanta. she won national deejay of the year 1988

Death Row and Luke Records beef went down this year. All from issues where Death Row members were messing around with Luke Stripper - Dancers while he was on tour in Cali and He left the dancers behind . This caused a beef between Dr. Dre , Snoop vs Luther Campbell. Luke decided to bring a whole bunch of his goons from Miami to meet Death Row and it was a disaster . The swat team was called and it destroyed the event. Yuk Mouth talks about it on Cam Capone interview. Search that link.
