that every single person would have to have a specialized version of the entire story written for them, and the same goes for movies, because these arent tangible pieces of reality, they are works of fiction that have very specific plot lines and stories that would need to be re written for every person that wanted to do this.

If I could go into this "virtual world" with my best friend and we could do whatever, I would do it. For me, as long as I'm enjoying myself the notion or reality or non reality doesn't matter to me. It might throw me through a few loops, but if I enjoy the experience I'd do it.

I don't know if anyone here has read the Pendragon series where there is one in which the main character is sent to a world much like the one you are describing. The people there spend most of their time in a giant pyramid dreaming or fantasizing a new life. Quite a good series.

This really made me think, as do all of your videos similar to this. Um... that's a really hard question. People, in my opinion, would give an arm and a leg to live in a "fantasy world". But when you think about it, reality is so much more... real (for lack of a better term). Haha, I honestly don't know how to answer this question. To heck with you, SeaNanners. (;

Definitely like the subject of this commentary. You can get into a real great discussion when it comes to a future of cyborgs and such. There's just so many things to consider about it as well. Of course everyone wouldn't want to have a robot body. Certain religions or more personal beliefs would sway people away from such changes, as would the probable high cost to make a transition like that. Would it be harder for non-cyborgs to get jobs? Would people discriminate against cyborgs? Good stuff.

Well it's kind of like the movie "Inception" dreaming became better than being awake so some people chose it over reality. But we can sort of do that already by lucid dreaming, and being in a new controllable reality.

This sounds slot like Lifelight where a person goes into a dream of their own choosing where they control what happens, but the population eventually became too attached to the idea of creating their own world and the entire world was deserted except for the Lifelight stations and those who worked them

Hey Nanners, I'm a fan and I just wanted to recommend a book to you that's related to this video The book is called Epic by Conor Kostick. Anyways I hope you read it and keep making your delightful videos on CoD and Minecraft Thanks, Owen, PSN: Junglop

Seananners!!! You have to check out the book "Feed". It will blow your mind and covers things you talked about like a chip being installed into the human brain. Amazing book. And people talk thru a chat like service where you think it and they can hear it. idk man, but i think its an awesome book worth checking out.

There's a theory that states that if we could create a believable computer simulation in which the user can at any time be ignorant that he/she is in a simulation than we are trapped in an infinite number of simulations within simulations. Forgot what it was called, but it's out there somewhere.

This is related to computers in our brain: i read an article that said that scientists could make programmable matter to put in your head or eyes. I would hope to live to see that day.
@McDrewsta12 жыл бұрын
If your brain, mind, soul, whatever you think would cross over with you into this fictional world, you probably would never be able to come back out. If you somehow KNEW that the world was fiction, I don't think many people would want to stay there because human beings, I believe, have an inherant desire for knowledge and understanding, which can only come from experiences in real time. It's comparable to dreams, you don't gain experience from dreaming about something you've never done.
@Mrwhiteboy900112 жыл бұрын
the sad truth is that our brain isnt a computer, it doesnt process binary code, the closest we could come it to look at something and control it with indirect signals from the brain, for example raising your hand would be an easy thing to detect and other physical characteristics would be possible, tracking emotion and thought would be something very far into the future and an apocalyptic situation is more likely to happen before it, we might be able to live an apocalypse though.

When a simulation becomes infinitely more realistic, as to be an approximation to real life, I think both reality and the simulation should both be considered (the same) "reality". Therefore to have a definite answer to your question would be kind of answering our purpose in life, which I'd hope no one would be able to express fully OR YOU LIVE A BLAND EXISTENCE!

I don't even know. I just don't even know! I'm sure there are good aspects to a world where everyone is plugged in. 10 years ago before social networking, no one would have ever guessed that we would be sharing as we do today. Posting videos on the web to complete strangers- this stuff was probably outlandish. But here we are. Making it work. The people who lay the foundation for these virtual worlds will probably make a killing off it. Maybe our species will be more peaceful with blinders on?

It's just so intimidating to think that there is no end. Even being 13, just thinking that there's no end, no legends, nothing, is just, in turn, scary. Life is life. I think conquering death destroys life. Death IS life. I think that we need to live. Not try to alter the universe. I want there to be an end. I want my story to live on, not me myself. I don't know. But you got a 13 year old thinking in a serious sort of vein, so i have adoration for that.

Real. Reality is so much stranger than fiction when you really think about and compare what we know to what we don't. I would also play that game. I have a great mental capacity for separating experiences in my head. Yes to doing something else. I'd love to go into more detail, Nanners. Shoot me a personal message, let's play a game and talk about the concept of virtual reality and the Brain-Jar theory.
